GREAT: This is one of those products you never knew you needed but will wonder how you ever lived without it once you use it. At the end of a cold my other tools weren’t doing the trick since the boogers turned from runny to hard and would get stuck in my poor son’s nose. I was amazed he could even breathe sometimes and despite my best efforts I couldn’t get the boogers loose and him comfortable. I started looking for something that could provide my boy some relief during this period and low and behold I found this amazing little device. This little blue guy safely and gently removes both sticky and dried boogers from your child’s nose. What is great about this tool is that there are two sides depending on your needs – you have the scoop end for dried boogers and the loop end for sticky boogers, allowing you to always be able to provide the relief your baby needs. Made of soft rubber that is easy for you to hold while still being gentle enough for baby, the bear-head design is both fun and safe, preventing the OogieBear from going too far into baby’s nose. I love knowing that this is strong enough to get the dried boogers but comfortable enough for baby that my boys don’t scream at the sight of it.
I just use this on my boy’s noses, but you can also use to clean your child’s ear.
GOOD: The OogieBear is latex, lead and phthalate free and is a patented and classified medical device created by a mother who is also a registered pharmacist. It is super easy to clean – just simply rinse under warn water using a mild soap, air dry and you are done. The OogieBear is small making it perfect to throw in your diaper bag or in your suitcase when you travel.
BAD: When you first get it you might think “$12.99 for this?” Looks can be deceiving though, because while it appears to be just a small blue piece of rubber, if it works for you it is an amazing piece of blue rubber. I will say that it isn’t always a ‘one scoop and you’re done’ type product. I sometimes have to use it a couple times in order to get the booger out, which when using this on a small baby a one and done type product would be nicer for everyone. At the end of the day though it gets the job done and allows my babies to breathe again, making both mom and baby happy.
UGLY: I don’t have anything ugly to say about this product that is the fault of the product. The only downfall would be since it is so small it is sometimes easy to misplace or lose and then you have to pay another $12.99 which can be annoying. This would be my issue though and not the product since I’m the one misplacing it.
