Fawn Design Diaper Bag

October 6, 2017

GREAT:  If you want a stylish bag, but also want it to be practical, useful and easy to organize this might just be the diaper bag of your dreams.  The Fawn Design bag is not only beautiful it also has the brains to go with it.  Soft, gorgeous faux leather with beautiful gold hardware detailing makes it go with every outfit and most importantly it doesn’t scream baby!  Since the bag is so stylish it can be used for so much more than just a diaper bag.  This bag can be used well after you no longer need to carry items for your kids and no one will know you bought it as a diaper bag.   For me, I have to have a bag that I can carry multiple ways and with two boys under two one of those ways has to be a backpack – no exceptions.  This bag can be carried three different ways – backpack, on the shoulder or messenger style.  Since it is built with the intention of being carried as a backpack (and not just an afterthought to sell more), it fits right on your back when carrying as a backpack.  There are a total of 10 pockets*: 4 outside, 6 inside including a zipper pocket, giving you more than enough room to be able to hold everything you need.  There is even a keychain hook on the inside for your keys as we know it is all too easy to lose those in your bag.  I pack my bag with everything I need for a day out with my two boys and still have tons of room to spare.  The first time I traveled with both boys I went straight to this bag as I knew it had enough room to carry everything I needed for a successful first plane flight while allowing me to carry on my back as I needed both hands to manage the boys.

GOOD: The bag is SO easy to clean and makes finding things easy.  Both the inside and outside are made from fully wipeable faux leather making spills and stains one less thing to worry about.  The inside can even be pulled out for easy cleaning ensuring you get all those hard to reach places.  Just use a damp cloth and your bag will look good as new again.  The bag opens up in a semicircle and gives you a wonderful open view of everything inside (which will of course vary depending on how you pack it).  This is so great because I’m no longer rummaging through my bag & pulling all the flaps apart to get the best view of what’s inside.  One look and I know where everything is.

BAD:  Depending on how heavy you pack your bag sometimes the straps can be uncomfortable.  It has only been a couple times when I travel and really need a lot with me where I’ve experienced this discomfort so it definitely has never been a deal breaker for me**.

**Since I’ve purchased the bag they have upgraded the backpack straps providing more comfort and strength.  I have a feeling these new upgrades have taken the bad away but since I have yet to try the new bag I wanted to still voice the concern.

UGLY:  I have nothing ugly to say about this bag.  It can be viewed as being expensive for a diaper bag at $159.99; however, in terms of ‘high-end’ diaper bags it is actually on the lower side.  Plus, this is not just a diaper bag, it can easily be used long after the kids have grown and no one would ever think diaper bag when seeing it.
